A walkthrough of installing BatchProof and using each part of the app: uploading COAs, QR codes, the public lookup page, and the two bulk-import tools.
Install BatchProof from the Shopify App Store. After you approve the requested access scope, Shopify redirects back to BatchProof, OAuth completes, and the dashboard opens inside your Shopify admin.
BatchProof has three plans:
You can start on Free and upgrade at any time from inside the app.
From the dashboard, click Upload COA. Attach a PDF up to 10 MB — that's the only file type accepted. Enter the batch number, then optionally link the batch to a product from your catalog and add the lab name, tested date, and expiry date.
Every batch gets its own QR code automatically. Open a batch to download its code as PNG or SVG, or use Download all QR (ZIP) on the dashboard to export every code at once. Print a code on packaging or a label — scanning it opens that batch's public lookup page directly.
Customers open a branded page on your storefront to view a COA — either by entering the batch number directly or by scanning the batch's QR code. The page shows the batch details and a button to download the COA PDF.
To bring in existing batch history, use the CSV import in the app. The file needs four columns: batchNumber, labName, testedAt, expiresAt. Common header aliases are accepted too — for example, Batch_Number is recognized as batchNumber. Before anything is created, the app shows a preview with a status for each row so you can catch problems first. A single file supports up to 500 rows.
If you're migrating an existing COA archive, open Attach PDFs and drop your files — up to 20 PDFs per selection, 40 MB combined. Each file is matched to an existing batch by its filename: either the filename matches a batch number exactly, or it starts with the batch number followed by a separator and anything else (for example, LOT-2026-001_report.pdf matches batch LOT-2026-001).
The preview lists each file as New attach, Has PDF, or No matching batch. If a file would replace a batch's existing PDF, tick Replace for that row before confirming — nothing is written until you confirm.
In Settings, upload your logo and set a brand color. Both appear on the public lookup page your customers see.
