No. BatchProof installs from the Shopify App Store like any other app. The customer-facing lookup widget is a drag-drop theme block — no code, no Liquid edits. Most brands are fully set up in under 10 minutes.
COA PDFs are stored on Cloudflare R2 (S3-compatible, encrypted at rest). Only your Shopify store admins can upload, edit, or delete. Public lookup pages serve only the COAs you explicitly mark as published. Every access is logged. We never share your data with third parties and we never train models on it.
No. BatchProof works for any regulated CPG: supplements, vitamins, peptides, cosmetics, pet products, even specialty food. If you have a batch number and a lab report, we can manage it.
Those track batches in your admin (great for inventory). They don't manage COA PDF files, generate public lookup pages, or print QR codes. We handle the customer-facing transparency layer — and we play nicely with Freshly if you also use it.
BatchProof is a compliance tool, not a CBD product. We work with hemp-derived merchants who've completed Shopify's hemp attestation. We don't process payments, ship products, or make medical claims.
